Christ and the Rich Young Ruler
A rich young ruler came to Jesus asking, "Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?". Jesus told him to keep the commandments.
The young man said that he had obeyed the commandments since he was a child, but Jesus looked upon him with love and told him of one more commandment he needed to keep. "Go and sell that thou hast," Jesus said, "and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me".
When the young man heard this, he went away sorrowful because he was very rich and did not want to give away all his costly possessions. Then Jesus said, "How hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!".
